To be able to get a license you need to have already passed the Written Exam, received your Instruction Permit and have a valid State ID.

If you don't have a valid State ID, the following documentation will be required:

a. Social Security Card (the original card)

b. Passport

c. Visa or any other form of identification (school ID, Work ID, Birth Certificate etc.)

d. Proof of address

YES, regardless of age it is a requirement by the secretary of state for a person to have passed the Written Exam and obtained their Instruction Permit before taking driving lessons.

We can assist you with getting yout permit or if you already have your permit we can schedule your first lesson. Simply give us a call at 773-489-2712 to get started!

4. Do you guarantee that I will pass the State Road Test? (back to top)

Although we do not guarantee that our students will pass the State Road Test, we do our best to prepare you for first time success. In fact, over 90% of our students pass the test the first time.

5. Do I get a second chance to take the State Road Test? (back to top)

Yes. In fact you are eligible to take the test several times if needed. Re-tests cannot be taken the same day. Also due to the fact that our Road Test fee is based on a flat fee you will be required to pay the fee each time you take the test.

Southeast bound it's Roosevelt Rd. and Halsted St.

Northeast bound it's Foster Ave. and Marine Dr.

Northwest bound it's Foster Ave. and Nagle Ave.

Southwest bound it's Roosevelt Rd. and Ridgeland Ave.

7. Do you offer 1-hour lessons? (back to top)

No, we only offer 2-hour sessions. The only time a 1-hour lesson is allowed is when a student combines a 1-hour lesson with our Road Test service.

8. Do you offer stick shift lesson? (back to top)

Yes. If you already have your Driver's License we do offer  2-hour Stick Shift lessons for $150. Click here for more info.

9. How do I go about making payments? (back to top)

Cash, Check, and Money Order payments can be made out to Nova Driving School. Payments can be made at our office or given directly to your instructor. Additionally, credit card payments can be made over the phone at any time.

10. What's your availability? (back to top)

Office hours are Monday - Friday from 9am to 6pm. Saturdays from 9:30am to 1:30pm.

For driving lessons we are available 7 days a week from 6am - 6pm.

11. Can you help me get a CDL license? (back to top)

Unfortunately for the moment the only licenses we provide training for are Class D and Class C non-CDL.
