Nova Driving School instructors are licensed by the Illinois Secretary of State and they are fully trained in all aspects of driver education. Additionally instructors are required to attend periodic meetings and workshops to assure they are kept up-to-date with the latest information regarding rules and regulations. Our instructors are very patient and are experienced in creating an environment for safe instruction.

"I was six years out of practice, and had always driven stick-shift on the left side of the road while seated on the right side of the car. Thanks to Nova, I passed the road test with no mistakes on the very first day of class. Carlos picked me up at 7 a.m. and we drove for four hours during which he identified and corrected all my mistakes, and got me confident enough to cruise to the DMV on my own. In just four lessons, she taught me the techniques and concepts needed to drive a car. "I am a new driver and took my first driving lessons with Dario. I only needed 4 (2-hour) lessons and a road test practice on the day of the road test. I felt confident to take the test and passed the first time :)
Dario is very friendly and a good instructor. He taught me so many useful driving techniques and made sure I know how to drive in different roads and conditions (expressways, downtown, school areas, suburbs and in the crowd). I also loved the fact the school has a home pick up/drop off option for an extra $10 a lesson. which is a good thing if you live far from the school location as I do. Scheduling appointments was very easy and the staff helped me fit all my lessons in 1 week before I had to go overseas on vacation.
I will definitely recommend this school for friends."

"I'm 19 years old and put off learning how to drive longer than most people I know could have ever stood to. I hadn't been behind the wheel for over a year when I decided to finally just polish up my skills and get a license. 11 days and five full lessons later, I was able to pass the driving test and just feel more confident overall. Dario was a great instructor. We went all around the city to all sorts of different areas, which gave me a reality check of what it's like to drive in an urban environment (not so bad!) Lessons were always confirmed by phone the day before and the scheduling was very efficient. Nova gets the job done... highly recommended."

"NOVA driving school is the best, and Irvink Romero is simply awesome. Although i had driven a car back home in my home country, but to drive in America is different, so was starting off as an amateur. Irvink started by taking me to a parking lot and taught me the basics and then step by step i was driving on the Expressway by the end of my first lesson. He keeps building your confidence and makes you feel comfortable while your driving. I was ready to go by the end of 2 lessons and i gave my test in my third lesson. I would recommend Irvink as he is a cool guy and will surely get you your license in no time and in one go too. YOUR THE MAN IRVINK."

"So I finally decided that it was time to get my license at age 33. After calling a couple of places I decided to try Nova. Definitely the best decision I made after calling a couple of places. The friendly staff definitely calmed my nerves from the minute I stepped foot in the door. I had never driven a car before and was very nervous about getting started.
After sharing all of this, I was told that my instructor would be Richie. What a godsend! I might be biased, but I definitely think that he is the best. I am now a confident driver because of him. I still cannot believe that I am referring to myself as a driver! He thoroughly explained everything I needed to know about a car before driving, helped me perfect my turns, and had me driving on the expressway in no time. I needed someone who was calm and very patient to combat by nervousness, and that is exactly what I got with Richie. Him being really cool and funny was also a plus!
Give Nova a call if you are ready to start driving, and definitely ask for Richie if you want someone who is patient, understanding, and willing to help you become a really good driver."

I didn't think I could get my driver's license this soon but I did! I am VERY happy. I took the 4 Adult Lessons and utilized the school's car for the Illinois Road Test. My professional teacher, Julian (who is new to the school) quickly rebuilt my confidence and had me driving busy streets in no time.
