Nova Driving School instructors are licensed by the Illinois Secretary of State and they are fully trained in all aspects of driver education. Additionally instructors are required to attend periodic meetings and workshops to assure they are kept up-to-date with the latest information regarding rules and regulations. Our instructors are very patient and are experienced in creating an environment for safe instruction.

"I was six years out of practice, and had always driven stick-shift on the left side of the road while seated on the right side of the car. Thanks to Nova, I passed the road test with no mistakes on the very first day of class. Carlos picked me up at 7 a.m. and we drove for four hours during which he identified and corrected all my mistakes, and got me confident enough to cruise to the DMV on my own. "I'm 31 and have never driven before, never really needed to as I always lived in easy walking cities. Recently I decided I would move out to LA. There was just one little problem...
In my wildest imagination I would never have believed that after one lesson, I was driving and over any fears I had of the road. By the fourth lesson I had passed my driving test and had my license and was actually excited to get behind the wheel again.
If you have been putting this off for years or are afraid of driving this is the place for you. I spent 30 years worrying and in a week and a half with them I have my license. They are patient and know what they are doing. Ask for D.K who was my guide to driving and I will always be thankful to him as I am now over the hump, and on the road!!"

"I am a new driver and took my first driving lessons with Dario. I only needed 4 (2-hour) lessons and a road test practice on the day of the road test. I felt confident to take the test and passed the first time :)
Dario is very friendly and a good instructor. He taught me so many useful driving techniques and made sure I know how to drive in different roads and conditions (expressways, downtown, school areas, suburbs and in the crowd). I also loved the fact the school has a home pick up/drop off option for an extra $10 a lesson. which is a good thing if you live far from the school location as I do. Scheduling appointments was very easy and the staff helped me fit all my lessons in 1 week before I had to go overseas on vacation.
I will definitely recommend this school for friends."

"I'm 19 years old and put off learning how to drive longer than most people I know could have ever stood to.  I hadn't been behind the wheel for over a year when I decided to finally just polish up my skills and get a license.  11 days and five full lessons later, I was able to pass the driving test and just feel more confident overall.  Dario was a great instructor.  We went all around the city to all sorts of different areas, which gave me a reality check of what it's like to drive in an urban environment (not so bad!)  Lessons were always confirmed by phone the day before and the scheduling was very efficient.  Nova gets the job done... highly recommended."
